Today’s post is not intended as a joke, but is in fact quite proper and important, and above all to be taken very seriously.

The modern world — particularly that part of it concerned with environmentally responsible clothing production — is moving ever deeper into our consciousness and into our attitudes to life. For the fashion cycle, beginning with production, through the purchase and, in the worst case, disposal, is a cycle that must close again within an environmentally conscious framework.

So, let us talk about fashion once more this evening and be politically correct into the bargain 😉

Is that possible? Yes, very much so!

  1. Climate change: Central and Northern Europe are becoming ever warmer, and linen is therefore establishing itself more and more in the summer wardrobe. It is no longer reserved for beachwear alone.
  2. Vegan: Linen is best suited for this, as it is purely plant-based.
  3. Our carbon footprint: We tailor traditionally by hand, with very little use of machinery and energy.
  4. Our fabrics do not travel excessively long distances before we work with them.
  5. The subject of fast fashion: Our creations are tailored in enduring designs, so that one has lasting pleasure in them and does not wish to part with them from one’s wardrobe so quickly.

That is our contribution to the subject of fair fashion. Are you interested in learning more about it, or in experiencing it on your own body? Please do get in touch with me.
